Recommend it for family and couples seeking tranquility
Spent 2 nights in a wonderful suite with amazing lake views. The staff went above and beyond, especially Mr Jiyas, for hosting that candlelight dinner, it was surreal, felt like I was in another world.
It wasn't inexpensive but considering the experiences, it was worth every penny.

The stunning location alongside serene backwaters is a highlight, coupled with fantastic service from the staff who attended to every need. Daily complimentary tea and snacks added a nice touch, while meals included delightful toasted sandwiches that exceeded expectations. However, there were minor inconveniences with some amenities being slightly crowded during peak hours, and the check-out process felt rushed. Additionally, while the health club was well-maintained, the overall availability of equipment could be improved during busy times.

Had an amazing time with friends here! We visited the beautiful Asthamudi Lake and enjoyed a fantastic boat ride. The staff were super welcoming and helpful. The food was delicious, although they could offer more seafood options. Definitely recommend trying the yoga sessions and complimentary tea by the lake as well!
However, the bathroom locks in our room were not functioning properly. It was inconvenient for privacy during our stay.

The stay at The Leela felt quite luxurious. Loved the Grand Heritage Lake View King room. It was spacious, clean, and offered an amazing view of the lake from the balcony. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. even my special requests for breakfast were met. The evening ambiance by the lakeside was delightful too. Enjoyed the variety of dishes for dinner, especially the North Indian cuisine. The spa was a nice touch, adding relaxation without needing to venture outside. However, there were a few issues. The bathrooms could use better maintenance as they get dirty easily. I also noticed the locks on the bathroom doors didn’t work properly, causing privacy concerns. Family-friendly activities were lacking, which might not suit those traveling with kids. Overall, it felt like a great place for couples and friends but not the best for families.

The unexpected warm welcome
Arriving at the Raviz Kollam felt like home with friendly smiles everywhere. The scenic views of Ashtamudi Lake took my breath away, especially during sunset.
However, some staff seemed overwhelmed during peak hours, leading to slight delays in service. I wished for a smoother dining experience given the hotel's high standards.

The setting alongside the lake is stunning, truly offering a picturesque experience. Unique teak wood villas on the property stand as a testament to the local architecture, and those seeking a touch of history will find their stay memorable in one of those spaces.
However, the bathrooms need a serious upgrade. I've encountered mold issues that shouldn't be present in a well-maintained facility. The breakfast left much to be desired—lacked variety and the quality of coffee should really be sharper. Plus, with multiple weddings happening right on site, it can feel overwhelming and loud. Lastly, a dedicated kids' area could really enhance the family experience since there's a noticeable influx of young families, and the current playroom vibes are a bit uninspiring.
